Our Story
Care Compass began as a group of second and third-generation Asian immigrants who have personally witnessed the challenges immigrants face in navigating the U.S. healthcare system. As the cost of living continues to rise, trust in the system continues to erode. Patients are left confused, anxious and burdened with debt. While healthcare should be universally accessible, persistent language barriers, a constant lack of transparency and the risk of being over-treated keep us far from that reality. Our mission is to shine a light upon these setbacks, guiding patients who feel uncertain, and promote better understanding of the U.S. healthcare system to help bridge the gap between communities and the care they deserve.

Our Mission is Action
Care Compass's mission is to empower immigrant communities to navigate the United States healthcare system with confidence. Through raising awareness of their cultural representation, providing language medical resources, and promoting advocacy, we help patients move from uncertainty to empowerment.
The Big Picture
We imagine a healthcare system where language is no longer a prominent challenge, trust in treatment is restored, and every patient of any background can access the quality care that they deserve with clarity and dignity.
The Heartbeat of Care Compass
Our diverse group of hardworking high school students and advocates are united by one shared goal: making healthcare accessible and understandable for everyone. Our experiences are deeply rooted in our families' journeys through the U.S. healthcare system. Overall, it drives us to break down language barriers, simplify complex information, and guide patients towards the care they deserve.
